Wind-PV Systems for Power Generation

The traditional thinking that Wind-PV Hybrid Systems for Power Generation related to stand-alone system mainly now is changing very fast. The main barrier to wide implementation of photovoltaic generation in hybrid systems was is high initial cost of Solar PV modules. But last year (2009) the prices of PV modules is dropping significantly. That is why in near future the photovoltaic power and PV-Wind systems will take very wide place in renewable energy development of both stand-alone and grid-connected applications.

The second 'green' source of Wind-PV Hybrid Systems is wind generation. The main barriers to wide implementation of wind turbines are their low efficiency at low wind speed and noise pollutions. Thanks to new invented JET wind turbines is increased turbine efficiency at low wind velocity and decreased the noise pollutions. In addition - new invented JET turbines operate efficiently in high turbulence wind conditions. The JET mode of turbine operation is implemented in both horizontal and vertical axis  wind machines. The new invented Wind-PV synergy energy system exploits a passive ground based PV-modules supporting structure as an wind accelerator directed accelerated  wind to the swept area of the wind turbine JET blades. This invention is applicable as an upgrade of the turbines operating in Wind Farms, as well. The hybrid systems, generally, is better energy source from energy-system point of view. Another invention related to low cost energy storage system is applicable to all renewable power plants.

Wind-PV synergy energy system is easy applicable even together with existing renewable energy facilities/plants/farms. E.g. - Wind-PV synergy energy system is useful for any wind turbine and any manufacturer can incorporate PV-supporting ground structure around vertical mast of his horizontal axis wind turbine. In low wind speed areas is possible to increase wind turbine energy yield above 50%.

Our JET-Blades are made with the latest thermoplastic engineering and injection mold technologies. The blades are made of mixed reinforced fiber glass and nylon materials. These manufacturing technologies ensure the highest strength, flexibility of blades and consistency of the blade shapes. The blades will automatically slow the turbine in strong winds and reduce noise. A set of 3-6 JET-Blades designed to capture as much wind energy as possible. Patented JET design and a new line of JET aerofoil cross section makes the system run much more efficiently and the rotor blades are made with the latest advanced thermoplastic engineering and precision injection molding technology.

The JET-Blades have exceptional consistency and JET-aerodynamic outline with a mass distribution that ensures the rotors operate with nearly no noise and minimal vibration. The blades feature lower start-up and cut-in speed and begin producing power at 1.5 m/s. The JET rotors have the possibility to self slow down rotation at high winds. That is why they are much more reliable in operation.

Today, even if it is not yet the main stream strategy, the option of the Wind-PV Hybrid Systems for Power Generation is largely recognized as a very promising one and its implementation has been enhanced in several different contexts, both in dense urban spaces and in the country side, in the North and in the south of the world. The Hybrid System option has been made possible thanks to the convergence of several factors as: the existence of highly effective power generators and the possibility to base the new energy systems on an intelligent information network.
